Australia captain Alyssa Healy will not feature in her team's league stage fixture against England in the Women's World Cup 2025 on Wednesday (October 22) due to a calf injury. The defending champions will then have a nervous wait to see for how long Healy will be unavailable. Healy, who has slammed centuries against India and Bangladesh, suffered a minor calf strain during a training session on Saturday.

In Healy's absence, Beth Mooney will keep wickets against England while impressive 22-year-old opener Georgia Voll is expected to fill in at the top of the order.
Healy meanwhile, will continue to be monitored by the medical team in the lead up to Australia's last league game - against South Africa on October 25, before heading to the knockouts. Both Australia and England have already qualified for the semis.
